Draft for the pilot
Privacy
SimpleUnemployment is an independent service, not a government agency. This page says what we collect during the New York pilot and why. It will be reviewed before paid plans open.
What we collect
- What you enter in the calculator: state, pay and time at your last job.
- Your answers to the four sign-up questions.
- Your email address, and your mobile number if you give it.
- Which pages and buttons you used, tied to a random ID in your browser, so we can see where the sign-up works and where it doesn’t.
What we never ask for
Your Social Security number, your NY.gov password, or your bank details.
How we use it
To show your plan, send the reminders you asked for, and improve the service. We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it with advertisers.
Texts
We only text you if you tick the box for text reminders. Reply STOP to any message to stop them.
Deleting your information
Ask us to delete your account and we’ll remove your records.
